It is important to make elections accessible, giving everyone the opportunity to exercise their rights if they are unable to visit the polling station in person.

Public assistants to the Ombudsman in Tatarstan told how this task is being implemented in practice today:

✅ In the Apastovsky district, members of the election commission visited WWII veteran Khairutdin aga Salakhov at his home with a portable ballot box. At the age of 18, Khairutdin abyi was called up for war. He made a great contribution to peace in the country in the battles of Stalingrad, on the Kursk Bulge, was seriously wounded several times, and was treated in hospitals.
The veteran, who experienced the joy of returning to his homeland, tries to participate in political events. And he willingly cast his vote at the elections.

✅ In the Menzelinsky district, members of the election commission visit people with limited mobility at home throughout the day, providing them with the opportunity to vote.

✅ Voting was also organized in Spassky and Arsky homes - boarding schools for the elderly and disabled.

✅ Among the first to vote were the chairman of the Yelabuga branch of the All-Russian Society of the Blind Munip Gasimov and his wife. They came accompanied by their friend.
