Detention centers in the Republic of Tatarstan opened their polling stations. All suspects, accused and defendants, in respect of whom the sentence has not entered into legal force, will be able to vote. In the election of deputies to the State Council of Tatarstan, this is about 1,200 people.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan visited FGI DC-1 DFPS of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan to familiarize herself with the election process at a closed polling station.

“In closed institutions voting is organized in accordance with all norms of the law”, - stressed Sariya Saburskaya.
