Thus, during the Day of Legal Assistance to Convicts, convict S. addressed the Commissioner's Office with a request to assist in documenting him with a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, as he had not received it earlier.
According to the available materials, in 2023 the Migration Department completed the procedure for establishing the identity of S. In order to determine whether the applicant had Russian Federation citizenship, a member of the Office initiated the verification necessary to clarify the circumstances. The Migration Department prepared a reasoned conclusion based on the results of that check, and once that conclusion had been approved, S. was to be issued with a passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation. But the issue of passport documentation was not resolved in a timely manner, which prompted him to seek help at the reception.
Taking into account S.'s arguments, an employee of the Office prepared a letter to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan with a request to assist in the speedy documentation with a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, and soon citizen S. officially became our compatriot, having received a passport.
