Meeting of working group No. 9 on participation of the Republic of Tatarstan in implementation of state programs of the Russian Federation, federal target programs and projects in the sphere of transport and road economy

Today in the State Council there was held a meeting of the working group №9 on the issues of participation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the implementation of state programs of the Russian Federation, federal target programs and projects in the sphere of transport and road economy under the chairmanship of Alexander Terentyev, Senator of the Russian Federation, Deputy Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on regulations and organization of parliamentary activity.

The participants of the meeting discussed the progress of construction of the highway Shali (M7) - Bavly (M5), issues of subsidizing air and water transportation, renewal of rolling stock and others.

She said that the Commissioner received 35,210 appeals in the first half of 2024, of which 2,130 on issues in the field of transport and road maintenance. People complain about non-compliance with the traffic schedule, insufficient number of buses during peak hours and in the evening (41%), the need to change the class and number of buses on existing routes (18%).
“When we solve these or those issues we should pay attention not only to the economic benefit, but also think about what it will give to ordinary citizens of the republic.

There are 17 working groups in the republic, each of which is headed by a supervising deputy. The working groups also include representatives of republican ministries and departments. The main activities of the working groups are monitoring and participation in the implementation of republican projects involving federal funds, protection of the republic's interests and prompt resolution of problematic issues in the supervised areas. as well as support of Tatarstan's legislative initiatives in the Federal Assembly.
