Today the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the final meeting of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan of the 6th convocation.

A huge layer of work of the Ombudsman of Tatarstan is related to interagency cooperation. At the enlarged meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, we concluded two agreements on cooperation between the Office and the Ombudsman:

As the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin noted in his Address to the Federal Assembly in February 2023, “it is our duty to support families who have lost loved ones. The family of each participant of a special military operation should be in the zone of constant attention, surrounded by care and honor”.  

“Serious challenges we have faced have influenced all spheres of our life, made adjustments in the work of state bodies, including human rights activities,” - these words opened the extended meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman, at which we presented a draft report ‘On the activities of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023’, and set tasks for work in 2024.  

From 20.01.2024 to 26.01.2024 you, dear residents, have applied to the system “People's Control” already 6 839 times, 2 029 notifications have already found their solution.

Over the past few years, largely due to the high professionalism, diligence and dedication of internal affairs officers, the situation in Tatarstan has remained stable. This was stated by Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of Tatarstan, at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.  

It is from the work of managers and responsible performers in municipalities, ministries and departments that depends on timely and qualitative execution of notifications of citizens in «People’s control».

In recent years in the medical sphere we have seen serious changes aimed at the development of active longevity, as well as the health of Tatars. In 2023, Tatarstan managed to reduce the mortality rate. This was told at the final board of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan by the head of the department Marcel Minnullin.

As human rights defenders, we should be as open as possible to the people, so holding receptions for citizens is mandatory for us. Each reception of citizens just reminds how important and should be held.
