Extended meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan

“Serious challenges we have faced have influenced all spheres of our life, made adjustments in the work of state bodies, including human rights activities,” - these words opened the extended meeting of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman, at which we presented a draft report ‘On the activities of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023’, and set tasks for work in 2024.

We receive facts about violations of the rights of the Republic's residents from various sources, and we try to find an individual approach to each applicant.
In 2023, the Office of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received 5,750 appeals from citizens.

More than 104,000 notifications (104,667) from citizens were received in the RT SIS “Public Control”, and more than 60,000 (60,167) - through the feedback platform of the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services “Gosuslugi. We decide together”. 80% of notifications in the “Public Control” system were resolved (84,013). More than 4.8 million comments and support from our residents were received.
