Held a working meeting with our community assistants

6 August 2026, Thursday

Today, I held a working meeting via videoconference with public assistants of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan, where we summarized the results of their work for the first half of 2026.

During the meeting, we discussed the key results of the public assistants' work and identified priority areas for future work. A significant portion of our public assistants' work involves reviewing citizen requests. During the reporting period, they reviewed approximately 800 requests.

In addition to addressing requests, significant attention is paid to legal education for residents of the Republic. School of Legal Knowledge classes, Legal Aid Days, human rights lessons in educational institutions, roundtables, and seminars are held.

Extensive work with participants in the special military operation and their families also continues. Colleagues regularly consult with citizens, assist with issues that arise, participate in the collection of humanitarian aid, and provide essential support to the families of our military personnel.

We face an important election campaign for deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and special attention will be paid to ensuring and protecting citizens' electoral rights. Public assistants will participate in the work of election commissions and will exercise public oversight over the observance of the rights of residents of the republic.

Following the meeting, I outlined the main areas of future work and new initiatives to be implemented in the near future.

Many tasks remain ahead, and I am confident that through joint efforts we can make our work even more effective!
