A telephone hotline was established for housing and communal services issues

29 April 2026, Wednesday

Today, at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan, we held a telephone hotline on housing and utilities issues.

The work was very intensive – we received approximately 170 inquiries from citizens. Their questions concerned the illegal installation of balconies, the payment procedure for housing and utilities, recalculation of winter bills, cold floors and walls in apartments, major roof repairs, lack of water supply, the emergency condition of utility networks, landscaping of adjacent areas, replacement of drainage pipes, partial collapse of apartment ceilings, changes in management companies, inflated utility rates, and the lack of cleaning in entryways.

Representatives from the State Housing Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Housing and Utilities Committee of the Kazan City Executive Committee, the State Tariff Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, the "Council of Municipalities" Association, the Kazan Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Vodokanal," the "PZhKH Management Company" LLC, and "Grinta" LLC provided consultations to citizens.

All inquiries received the necessary clarifications, and some questions were taken forward for further work.

The practice of conducting hotlines demonstrates how relevant and sensitive the topic of housing and utilities remains for citizens. It is important to continue working in this area!
