Men R. contacted our Office regarding the replacement of the entrance door by the management company in his apartment. Upon moving into the apartment, the applicant discovered defects in the entrance door.
According to the applicant, after his request to the management company, the door was merely painted and reinstalled, but with significant violations, namely, damaged plaster in the hallway and an improperly secured door threshold. Despite contacting the management company, the issue remained unresolved.
To protect the rights of citizen R., I contacted the Office of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan with a request to conduct an investigation into the applicant's allegations and take appropriate action.
As a result of our intervention, the identified defects were rectified. The door was dismantled, the door frame and joint were foamed, and the door was then reinstalled in accordance with established requirements.
