The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting dedicated to the main parameters of the forecast for the socio-economic development of the republic for 2026-2028. The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the work.
As noted, according to the results of eight months of 2025, the gross regional product of the republic amounted to almost 3.7 trillion rubles, the industrial production index reached 110.7%, and the volume of investments exceeded 660 billion rubles. The main contribution to economic growth was made by manufacturing, agricultural products, moderate consumer activity in the context of reduced consumer lending, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
During the forecast period, special attention will be paid to the implementation of national projects, state and republican programs. The most important factors in the fulfillment of the forecast indicators are the uninterrupted operation of enterprises, expansion of sales markets, technological development and increased labor productivity.
In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov proposed to accept the parameters announced during the meeting as a basis for further work on the budget.
Addressing the leadership of cities and districts, the Rais of the Republic called for adhering to the parameters agreed upon with the Ministry of Finance.
"All expenditure powers must be supported by real sources of income, balanced budgets without a deficit should be approved," Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
