Recently, the spouse of a serviceman, citizen D., who is serving under contract as part of a special military operation, contacted me. During the battle, citizen D. was temporarily enlisted in another military unit, which was not reported in a timely manner by the command. In connection with this, he was mistakenly declared missing in action at his place of service, and his pay was limited to the level of his salary.
Despite the fact that citizen D. soon returned to his unit and continued his service, the restoration of payments was delayed. The corresponding order to remove the status of missing was issued, but it was not submitted to the Financial Support Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the Kamchatka Territory. Based on this, the serviceman was deprived of the opportunity to receive his pay in full.
I immediately contacted the Human Rights Commissioner in Kamchatka Krai, the Financial Support Department of the Russian Ministry of Defense for Kamchatka Krai and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, and the commander of the military unit with a request to take measures to provide citizen D. with full monetary allowance.
According to the information received, the payments were restored. By the corresponding order, the serviceman was removed from the category of missing persons, and all due funds will be credited to the serviceman in the established billing period.
Servicemen risk their lives every day, and it is our duty to ensure the protection of their rights and legitimate interests, especially in such sensitive issues as payments and social guarantees!
