At the end of the year, the industrial production index was 109.6%, and the volume of shipped products increased by 20% - to 840 billion rubles. The main contribution was made by enterprises of the military-industrial complex. The gross territorial product of Kazan is expected to be at the level of 1.6 trillion rubles, which is 300 billion more than in 2023.
The average salary at medium and large enterprises exceeded 90 thousand rubles (+ 21%). The unemployment rate reached a historic low - there are more than 10 vacancies per unemployed person. Small and medium businesses demonstrated growth in all indicators: the number of enterprises reached 83.8 thousand, and their turnover increased by 13% - to 856 billion rubles.
Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted that 2024 was a landmark year for the republic. Kazan successfully hosted major international events, including the BRICS summit. "Today Kazan is recognizable in the world. This is confirmed by the fact that in 2026 Kazan will receive the status of the cultural capital of the Islamic world," said the Rais of the Republic. Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of supporting the participants of the special military operation and their families. At the end of the meeting, he presented state awards to residents of Kazan for their contribution to the development of the republic and the city.
