Today, a meeting of judges of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the building of the Sovetsky District Court of Kazan, in which Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part. The results of the work for the year were summed up by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Gilmutdinov, the Head of the Department of the Judicial Department in the Republic of Tatarstan Zyavdat Salikhov, the Deputy Chairman of the Sixth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction, the Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Administrative Cases Radik Gabdullin.
In 2024, the courts of Tatarstan considered 1 million 230 thousand cases and materials. Of these, 872 thousand were considered by justices of the peace, 324 thousand by district and city courts, 33 thousand by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. The number of cases considered within the framework of the Code of Administrative Offenses decreased by 2%, and in criminal proceedings it decreased by 9%.
Rais Tatarstan noted the high importance of the judicial system in protecting the rights of citizens, including participants of the special military operation and their families. He emphasized that providing them with support measures is a priority task that requires a careful approach.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the introduction of digital technologies in the judicial system. Tatarstan has been designated the only pilot region for testing citizen participation in meetings of justices of the peace via web conferences. It is also planned to expand the "Electronic Justice" service and the possibility of contacting justices of the peace through the public services portal.
