Today, the Kazan Expo IBC hosted a meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, where the results of the department's work for 2024 were summed up and tasks for 2025 were outlined.
Tatarstan entered the top three in terms of gross agricultural output, which in 2024 amounted to more than 341 billion rubles. The volume of the food industry amounted to 340.4 billion rubles.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov noted that in 2025 it is necessary to ensure three percent growth in order to strengthen the republic's position in the agro-industrial complex.
In 2024, Tatarstan also produced 2.3 million tons of milk, which is 3.9% more than in 2023, and the volume of livestock products exceeded 181 billion rubles, ensuring second place among the regions of Russia.
At the end of the year, the revenue of agricultural enterprises in Tatarstan exceeded 200 billion rubles for the first time, which is 20% more than in 2023. The republic is fully self-sufficient in livestock products, including 508 thousand tons of meat and more than 1.6 billion eggs.
Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov expressed gratitude to all rural workers and emphasized that the republic is successfully fulfilling the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure Russia's food sovereignty.
