Today, the final meeting of the board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the new Galiaskar Kamal Theater. Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova summed up the results of 2024 and outlined plans for 2025.
In her report, the minister noted that the republic's culture covers almost 24 thousand employees and 3,770 cultural institutions. More than 500 thousand events are held annually, including 3.5 thousand theater productions and 3,640 major concerts, and the total number of visits to cultural events exceeded 100 million.
2024 was a landmark year for the republic: Kazan hosted three major all-Russian events - the federal project "Museum Routes", the All-Russian Library Congress and the II All-Russian Children's Folklore Festival. The republic also presented the wealth of Russian culture as part of BRICS events.
The meeting summed up the five-year work of the national project "Culture", launched in 2019. During this time, the material and technical base of institutions has been strengthened, digital technologies have been introduced, and work with creative communities has been established. As a result, more than 67% of Tatarstan residents noted that the cultural life of the region has become richer.
Irada Ayupova expressed gratitude to the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov for his support, thanks to which the republic has become an example of the successful implementation of cultural initiatives.
In 2025, the Ministry of Culture plans to open the Crafts Center - a modern creative platform for masters of folk art and crafts. An important area will also be work on the cultural adaptation of migrants.
The culture of Tatarstan continues to develop, preserving spiritual and moral values, as well as focusing on the quality and accessibility of cultural events for all residents of the republic.
