At the final meeting of the board of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of Tatarstan, the key achievements of the industry in 2024 and the tasks for 2025 were discussed.

Minister of Transport Farit Khanifov noted that the republic continues to show high results. In 2024, 8.73 million passengers were transported by rail, and the number of passengers at the republic's airports exceeded 6.1 million people. In addition, more than 402 million people used passenger transport during the year, which is 3.5% more than the year before.

Particular attention is paid to the development of road infrastructure. Over the past five years, the length of the road network in the republic has increased by almost 1,450 km. Among the major projects completed in 2024 are the Alekseyevskoye - Almetyevsk road, the bypass of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny with a bridge across the Kama River, and the completion of the second stage of the Voznesensky Tract.

At the meeting, I also spoke on the topic of using digital technologies to handle citizens' requests, talked about working in the GIS RT "People's Control" and the feedback platform. Every year, issues related to the improvement and repair of roads occupy leading positions among notifications and messages submitted by users.

Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov spoke at the meeting.

He noted that the modernization of the road and transport infrastructure is an integral part of the dynamic development of the republic. In 2024, many significant projects aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens were completed.

"Our most important task is to create a transport system that will meet the needs of the present and future, ensuring mobility and safety on the roads," Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.
