The Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov summed up the results: over 7 years, Tatarstan allocated 71.8 billion rubles for environmental activities, of which more than 41 billion were invested by enterprises of the republic. In 2024, environmental protection expenditures exceeded 11 billion rubles, making the Republic of Tatarstan the leader in the Volga Federal District in terms of investment in environmental protection.
Since 2019, within the framework of the national project "Ecology", the republic has also implemented 30 major events worth more than 21 billion rubles. The reconstruction of the largest biological treatment facilities in Kazan has been completed, 13 new treatment facilities have been built within the framework of the federal project "Volga Recovery". In addition, since 2018, 36 treatment facilities have been repaired within the framework of the republican program.
With the support of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, the construction of the first part of the first stage of the hydraulic structure "Novaya Portovaya" began. In total, since 2019, 71 hydraulic structures have been overhauled and 10 coastal protection facilities have been built.
This year, on the instructions of Vladimir Putin, a new national project "Ecological Well-being" was launched in Russia, which will be a continuation of the national project "Ecology".
Tatarstan remains the leader of ESG ratings in Russia and in the new year the region will continue to participate in national projects to preserve nature for future generations.
