Day of legal assistance to foreign students at Kazan State Power Engineering University
Foreign students are an important part of our multinational republic. Tatarstan always strives to create comfortable conditions for their education, life and adaptation. However, when faced with legal and everyday issues in another country, many of them do not always know where to turn for help.
Today, Legal Aid Day was held at Kazan State Power Engineering University. More than 100 foreign students gathered at the event to receive consultations on the most pressing issues. I told the students about the activities of the Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan, how we can protect their rights and help in their implementation. Representatives of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the House of Friendship of Peoples also took part in the discussion.
The issues raised at the meeting concerned migration control and the timing of these procedures, as well as industrial practice at enterprises with limited access for foreign students. Each student who asked for help received professional advice and specific recommendations.
I am confident that an open dialogue helps not only to resolve current issues, but also to prevent possible difficulties. We will continue to develop legal support for foreign students so that everyone who chooses Tatarstan to study feels at home here.
