🚌Due to the Commissioner, the Kamsko-Ustinsky District Prosecutor's Office of Tatarstan submitted a proposal to ensure the safety of children on the way to school

For many of us, the road to school is a memory full of excitement and various stories. However, for parents, this road is also a source of concern: the most important thing is that their children get to school quickly and safely.

A citizen R. from the Kamsko-Ustinsky District turned to me for help. Her son, who studies at a local school, is forced to spend long hours on the road every day due to an unsuccessful school bus route. The bus picks up the boy from the village of Bolshoe Meretkozino, and then goes in a long circle, calling in neighboring villages. As a result, her son has to travel about 80 kilometers every day, returning home only in the evening.

In order to understand the situation and check the compliance of the route with the standards, the Kamsko-Ustinsky District Prosecutor's Office, together with representatives of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and the local education department, conducted an on-site inspection. As a result of the inspection, it was established that the length of the route does indeed exceed the established standards, and changes were made to reduce the distance. However, it was noted that it was not possible to change the order of stops in favor of the village of Bolshoe Meretkozino: such a change would add risk on one of the sections of the route due to a dangerous turn with insufficient visibility.

As a result of the inspection, it was also revealed that the stop for collecting children in the village of Bolshoe Meretkozino is not properly equipped: there is no bench or trash can. The prosecutor's office submitted a submission to the head of the Bolshesaltykovskoye rural settlement with a demand to eliminate this violation.
