Our Office receives hundreds of requests from residents of Tatarstan who have encountered violations of their rights. And our task is not just to listen, but to provide real help.
I was approached by citizen E., who found herself in a difficult life situation due to the actions of fraudsters. Last summer, citizen E. became a victim of fraud. Unknown persons issued several loans in her name remotely, having hacked the applicant's personal account. Unfortunately, the preliminary investigation was suspended - the police were unable to establish the identity of the criminals. This meant that justice never prevailed, and citizen E. herself was left alone with debt obligations that were essentially imposed on her by fraud.
In this difficult situation, we contacted the prosecutor's office with a request to consider this appeal. On September 26, 2024, the preliminary investigation was resumed, and the Kazan city prosecutor's office took the situation under special control. In addition, on October 21, 2024, the Novo-Savinovsky District Prosecutor's Office sent a demand to the head of the Savinovo Police Department No. 6 to eliminate the violations of criminal procedure legislation.
