Visit to the Social Adaptation Center "BlagoDaryu" "Supported Living"

People with mental disabilities need special support and attention. It is important that every person, regardless of their health condition, feels like a part of society, knows that they are understood and accepted. It is especially difficult for those who, for one reason or another, are left without relatives.

Today I visited the Social Adaptation Center "BlagoDaryu" "Supported Living", where 10 people currently live. Each of them is connected by the fact that they were left without parents and have developmental disabilities. Each of them is learning to live outside of residential institutions and be independent. Almost all the children are employed!

"Difficulties are surmountable. Allowing everyone who has the ability to live independently, but spent their childhood in a boarding school, is priceless," is the motto of the head of the autonomous non-profit organization"BlagoDaryu" Gulnara Galiakhmetova.

For me, visiting this center became a reminder of how important such projects are. Autonomous non-profit organization"BlagoDaryu" gives its pupils a sense of home, confidence and care, opens the doors to a more independent life for them. This is exactly what we should all strive for - to help and support each other on the path to the best.
