2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, and support for family values occupies an important place in our work. We pay special attention to protecting the rights of foster and guardian families, as well as children who were left without parental care against their will. During the year, we met with families, organized citizen receptions, analyzed the activities of guardianship and trusteeship authorities, as well as institutions for orphans. Particular attention was paid to families in difficult life situations.
Today, Zulfiya Gilmutdinova, Head of the Department for Restoration of Citizens' Rights of the Ombudsman's Office, is taking part in the All-Russian Conference of Heads of Guardianship and Trusteeship Authorities, which is taking place in the Moscow Region. The agenda includes important issues of adoption, responsible parenting, and providing housing to orphans. The topic of finding compromises in resolving parental disputes that may arise in the process of upbringing and guardianship is especially relevant.
This conference has become a platform for exchanging experiences, discussing successful practices, and new approaches to solving existing problems. Such events help improve the work of guardianship authorities and provide support to families who need special attention.
