Meeting of the Expert Council under the Representative of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana
International cooperation plays a major role in the work of the Ombudsman. In their activities, ombudsmen around the world cooperate and are outside the framework of politics, our main task is to restore violated rights of citizens and protect them.
Today I spoke at a meeting of the Expert Council under the representative of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana. In my report, I noted that our institute turned 24 this year, and during this time a lot has been done to protect the rights of citizens, improve legislation and legal education. The Expert Council actively helps us resolve issues of human rights activities, promoting effective interaction with government agencies and civil society. In my colleagues' case, this institute is just emerging.
I hope that the experience of the Expert Council under the Ombudsman in Tatarstan will help colleagues build effective human rights tactics, and their Council will become a reliable support for the Ombudsman institution.
