Inspection of conditions of detention of persons in places of forced confinement of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan
In the third quarter of the current year, a representative of my Office together with a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan inspects the conditions of detention of persons in places of forced confinement of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan.
This week the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Zainsky district, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhnekamsky district and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny were visited.
During the inspection, showers, inspection rooms, investigation rooms, visiting rooms, storage rooms, disinfection chambers are examined. Conversations with citizens held in special institutions are obligatory. These visits are aimed not only at examining the conditions of detention in special institutions of the republic, but also at verifying the arguments of applicants whose appeals to me may concern, for example, their relatives in temporary detention facilities.
