The appeal is under the control of the Commissioner
Our republic is a region rich in natural resources. The total area of Tatarstan's water basins exceeds 4 thousand square kilometers. Each water body is a part of our common cultural heritage, which we are obliged to preserve and protect for future generations.
During our regular monitoring of citizens' notifications in GIS RT “People's Control” the problem of shoaling of a water body in Kukmorsky District, which was reported by the system users in the notification No. 5677604, came to our attention. We have drawn attention to the fact that this application was assigned the status “Application solved”, but no measures were taken to solve the problem.
In order to protect the rights of citizens to a favorable environment, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan appealed to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan to conduct an inspection on the fact of shallowing of this water body.
As a result of the inspection initiated by us, the Ministry revealed the fact of unlawful provision of the land plot where the water body is located for use, and this information was sent to the Tatar Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office for prosecutor's response measures.
The Prosecutor's Office, agreeing with the arguments of the Ministry of Ecology, made a submission on elimination of the revealed violations to the offender.
