A solemn event dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945
“Thanks to the courage and bravery of soldiers and officers, selfless labor in the rear, our people were able to defend the freedom and independence of the Motherland!” said Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of Tatarstan, at a solemn event dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The memory of the heroes who fell on the battlefields and passed away after the war was honored with a minute of silence.
“Dear veterans! Your faith in the right cause and selfless devotion to the Fatherland will always be for us a model of high morality and true patriotism. It is our sacred duty to educate the younger generation on the valiant examples of the victorious nation. Today, the participants of the special military operation have stood up to defend the Motherland and its future. These are people of honor and conscience, true patriots of their country, who worthily continue the work of valiant ancestors, defending the right of our people to independence,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted and welcomed the participants of the special military operation who were in the hall.
A number of state awards were presented. Rais of the Republic handed over the medal “Gold Star” to the spouse of the Hero of Russia, participant of the SSO Vladimir Kozin, who died in October last year.
📍The Medal of the Republic of Tatarstan “For Valorous Labor” was awarded to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers Kapitolina Vinokurova, Elizaveta Efimova, Olga Kostyukhina, Azat Mukhutdinov and Anastasia Polevova.
📍 Medal of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded Lieutenant Colonel Timur Habibullin, Junior Sergeant Andrey Kondeev, Lieutenant Anton Vyatkin and Sergeant Rustam Gambarov.
