A representative of the Commissioner took part in the Victory Dictant. Today, thousands and thousands of people of different ages and professions take part in this event. This is the sixth international historical dictation dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.
The main goal of the action is to preserve the memory of the war years, the exploits of front-line soldiers and home front workers. To defend the inviolability of historical truth, to promote the formation of solid and deep knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, about the significance of the victory of the Soviet people over Nazi Germany.
Why is it important to write the “Victory Dictant”, where the main thing is not victory, but participation? Even preparation for the “Victory Dictant” and participation in it help to know better the history of our native country, especially against the background of cynical attempts to distort the historical truth and downplay the role of our country in the defeat of fascism, contrary to the facts. To know the historical truth means to preserve and protect it from lies.
