Protecting the interests of family members of servicemen who participated in a special military operation
Appeals related to dead (deceased) servicemen are a great pain of their relatives, which I and the staff of my Office try to help bear and alleviate. Thus, at my personal reception, a citizen asked me to assist her, as the spouse of a serviceman, and the serviceman's mother in obtaining certificates of a family member of a deceased (deceased) veteran of combat operations.
During the personal reception, the applicant reported that she had been denied payment for the death of a serviceman, as well as the issuance of a certificate of a family member of a deceased (deceased) combat veteran. The refusal was allegedly motivated by the serviceman's death not on the battlefield, but during his vacation.
Of course, I could not agree with such a solution of the issue. In conditions when the head of the family, having shown himself as a true patriot of the country, left with honor and dignity to carry out combat missions, protecting the lives of Russian citizens, the primary task is to provide the necessary support to the families of servicemen.
For this reason, I addressed the military commissioner of the municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan with a request for assistance in issuing a certificate of a family member of a deceased (deceased) veteran of combat operations.
According to the letter received from the military commissariat of the municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, the documents were previously drawn up and sent to the military unit to make a decision on the assignment of payments in accordance with the current legislation. After my appeal, the serviceman's mother was issued a certificate confirming the serviceman's participation in combat operations for submission and registration of a certificate to the family members of the deceased (deceased) to the social protection department.
The applicant was offered to apply to the military enlistment office at the place of her residence for registration of documents. The appeal remains under my control.
