Meeting of the Committee on Legality and Law and Order of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan
The State Council of Tatarstan considered the issues of implementation of the republican laws on fire safety and on voluntary fire protection
Today the State Council held a meeting of the Committee on Law and Order, at which the deputies considered the implementation of the republican laws on fire safety and on voluntary fire protection, as well as supported candidates for election as justices of the peace.
Acting Minister for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Surzhko presented information on the implementation of the republican laws “On Fire Safety” and “On Voluntary Fire Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan” at the meeting of the parliamentary committee.
In 2023, firefighting units traveled 2.7 thousand times to various incidents, including 1,314 times to fires and 173 times to eliminate the consequences of traffic accidents. 22 people were rescued from the fire zone and during the liquidation of road accidents.
Over the last three years, 2 fire station buildings, 1 heat and smoke chamber have been put into operation and 83 fire station buildings have been repaired.
Speaking about the implementation of the republican law on voluntary fire protection, Nikolai Surzhko noted that 1577 public associations of fire protection have been established in the republic, including 652 voluntary fire departments and 925 voluntary fire brigades. Their total number is 7,814 people. Volunteer fire brigades have 693 units of fire-fighting equipment and 948 motorized pumps. There are 636 units of equipment and 714 volunteer firefighters on round-the-clock duty.
The issue of amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented by Shakir Yagudin, Chairman of the Committee on Law and Order, who noted that the draft of the relevant resolution of the State Council is aimed at bringing the Rules of Procedure of the State Council in compliance with the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
