The issuance and payment of certificates of combat veterans has been simplified
❗For participants of the special operation the procedure of issuing the certificate of veteran combat operations and the provision of corresponding payments (Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 20 September 2023 of 1536) has been simplified.
❗Participants of a special military operation will now be able to obtain a certificate of combat veteran in a non-adversarial manner.
The decision concerns military personnel, officers of the Interior Ministry, Rosgvardia, FSB and FSIN, as well as volunteers who took part in combat operations in Ukraine, DPR and LPR from 24 February 2022 and in the territory of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions from 30 September 2022.
These categories of citizens will no longer be required to apply to the relevant ministries and agencies, as they have all the documents confirming the participation of a particular individual in a special military operation.
Previously, in order to obtain the status of veteran of combat operations, a citizen had to write an appropriate application at the duty station.
❗In 2023, veterans of combat operations taking part in a special military operation will be able to receive the monthly cash payment due to them without recourse to state structures.

Now all the necessary information will be received by the Social Fund of Russia from the relevant ministries and departments that issued certificates of combat veterans.
