A quadripartite agreement on cooperation between the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan, UFCIN of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the Kazan Public Organization of Relatives of Drug Addicts «Vera».
The aim of the agreement was to formalize a programme of rehabilitation units for convicts addicted to psychoactive substances, which has been in operation since 2018, on the basis of the Federal Penal Correction Service IK-19 and the Federal Penal Correction Service for Russia.
During the implementation of the programme, more than 2,300 small psychotherapeutic groups, 1,152 lectures, 276 training sessions and more than 2,500 individual consultations were held in rehabilitation units.
Within the framework of the project, work is carried out not only with convicts, but also (in parallel) with their relatives (if available), legal representatives and other interested persons (information, individual and group consultations).
