Following the intervention of the Commissioner, 11 cases of administrative offences were brought under article 12.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation
The issue of road safety management is at the top of my work agenda. Residents who send notifications to «People’s Control» with requests for the organization of humps, the installation of the necessary road signs, I believe are absolutely right, because these roads walk our children! We want to make sure they’re safe.
In the course of our monitoring of the notifications of citizens in the GIS «People’s Control» of the Republic of Tatarstan it was established that in a number of municipalities no measures are taken to implement the notifications in the system. Before the beginning of the school year, we sent a letter to the head of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan about these notifications and the adoption of measures to improve roads with humps.
On the basis of the results of the inspections carried out by the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Tatarstan, 11 cases of administrative offences were brought against the responsible persons in accordance with the article. 12.34 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation («Failure to comply with road safety requirements during construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of roads, level crossings or other road structures»), also on 8 notifications - Letters were sent to address the weaknesses identified.
The implementation of 68 notifications by local authorities will be considered by the nearest Road Safety Commission for decision.
