Appeal decided positively
Public transport is poorly suited for persons with disabilities. It is difficult, if not impossible, for them to get on a bus or a tram. As a result, it is much more difficult to visit medical and other social institutions, as well as cultural events.
I was approached by a representative of one of the charitable funds of Kazan with a request to support the work of the project «Social taxi for the disabled». Faced with the problem of transporting people with low mobility, the representative of the foundation noted that in Kazan this service is not fully developed, and in the existing organizations that are engaged in the transportation of people with low mobility, the prices are high.
Having studied all the circumstances of the case, I decided to apply to the Minister of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan with a request to provide a vehicle free of charge. Our letter-support of the project «Social taxi for the disabled» found understanding among the management of the department. In this connection, the charity fund will be allocated a car for carrying people with limited mobility.
The implementation of this project will facilitate the provision of quality service on a permanent basis to provide specialized vehicles for persons with disabilities free of charge or on preferential terms.
