Meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan
The State Council closed its spring session. Next time, the MPs will meet for the next meeting in September. At the end of the 45th session, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin summed up the work of the Republican Parliament in the first half of this year and outlined the priorities for the coming period.
In the first half of this year, there were 6 meetings of the State Council, more than 140 issues were considered, 56 laws were adopted (of which 8 are basic) and more than 200 resolutions. «Today we have adopted a number of bills, which in accordance with the regulations will be sent to Raisu RT for signature», - said Farid Mukhametshin.
«Legislative activity at the beginning of this year was marked by the adoption of amendments to the Basic Law of the Republic, systematic work on the harmonization of federal and regional legislation was carried out»- said Farid Mukhametshin and thanked the deputies for the elaborated proposals and detailed discussion of the new provisions of the Constitution of Tatarstan.
Among the most significant laws adopted, Farid Mukhametshin named the documents that relate to the preferential right to enrol in educational organizations of children under guardianship in the family, establishing the procedure for the distribution of permits for hunting resources, Regulation of relations in the sphere of intangible ethnocultural property, extension of tax benefits for organizations, etc.
In the first half of the year, the State Council of Tatarstan sent three appeals to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Misostin, and the Chairman of the State Duma of the RF, Vyacheslav Volodin. The appeals raised the issues of inclusion of the post of adviser to the director on education and interaction with children’s public associations in the list of positions entitled to early assignment of employment pensions, Improving environmental reporting and drug supply requirements for persons suffering from rare (orphaned) diseases.
Also in the first half of this year, the State Council of Tatarstan initiated 4 draft federal laws, three of which are under consideration by the State Duma.
In the coming period, Farid Mukhametshin noted, the Parliament will continue legislative and budgetary support for the implementation of national development goals, national projects and republican programs. On the special control of deputies - issues of social orientation: work with the population, support of volunteers, heroes of the special military operation, servicemen and members of their families, issues of patriotic education, strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values, Activities within the framework of the Year of Teacher and Mentor in the Russian Federation, the Year of National Cultures and Traditions in Tatarstan. As the head of the republic noted, the work of parliamentarians will continue in the priority areas of development: ensuring technological sovereignty, structural adaptation of the economy to new realities, digitalization, import substitution, development of entrepreneurship, support of the village.
