Event dedicated to the decade of «silver» volunteering in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Today an employee of the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan took part in a solemn event dedicated to the decade of «silver» volunteering in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the event there was a presentation of the activities of the regional center «Young Souls» and a ceremony of awarding silver volunteers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Volunteerism, as an important social phenomenon, unites tens of thousands of people across the country ready to give a selfless helping hand to those who need it.
The Center «Young Souls» was created on the basis of ANO «Republican resource center for support of socially oriented non-profit organizations» in April 2021. The aim of the program is to create a comprehensive system to support the development of volunteer activities of senior citizens. The main directions of volunteering: sports, event, cultural, patriotic, environmental, medical, social, intellectual, tourist. Currently, there are 1173 people involved in the program - «silver» volunteers.
«Silver» volunteers visit children’s homes, boarding schools, hospitals with master classes, festive events for children with special development. Citizens of the older generation receive targeted assistance at home. The actions of «Rushyzhka», «DostReplo», «Puppet Theatre», «Shadow Theatre» and others have become traditional. Currently, «silver» volunteers are actively involved in the «We Together» movement, providing assistance to families mobilized, as well as in the formation of humanitarian aid mobilized
