November 4 is the day of national unity; November 6, 2017 in the Republic of Tatarstan is celebrating a special date-the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan. Dear citizens of Tatarstan, let me congratulate you on these significant holidays, which have deep historical roots and symbolize the desire to live as a single multi-ethnic people in the legal civil society.

The Constitution of Tatarstan is based on the principles of respect for the rights and freedoms of the individual, civil solidarity, contributes to the preservation and development of historical, national and spiritual traditions, cultures, languages, ensuring civil peace and interethnic harmony.

The Constitution defined the principles and mechanisms of the political system in the Republic, laid down the legal guarantees of social and political stability. The institution of the Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan was established in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, the Constitution of Tatarstan serves as a guide of the state policy, the main purpose of which is to improve the quality and standard of living of the population, further dynamic development of the economy, preservation of respect for its historical past and a confident move forward. Success in solving these problems depends on every citizen of the Republic, on our activity, citizenship and personal responsibility.

On this festive day, I sincerely wish you, dear residents of Tatarstan, good health, peace and happiness, confidence in the future, prosperity and optimism!
