Seminar project "Russian Public Monitoring Commission - the new generation" in Kazan

The 5-day training seminar for the leading experts of the project"Russian Public Monitoring Commission - the new generation" is being held in Kazan on 13- 17 December, 2016.  This is a joint project of the Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation and the Directorate for the protection of human rights of the Council of Europe.

The project aims at strengthening public control over the observance of human rights in places of detention in the Russian Federation.

In the framework of the training seminar, 16 December the Ombudsman hosted a meeting of leading experts of the project "Russian Public Monitoring Commission - the new generation"with members of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of public human rights organizations.
