Strengthening international cooperation in protecting the rights of migrants
Today, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sariya Saburskaya, held a working meeting with Oybek Odilov, Head of the Representative Office of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.
Several areas of further cooperation were identified, namely:
Legal education: implementing joint projects to inform citizens of Uzbekistan about the rules of residence and work in Russia, and in particular the Republic of Tatarstan.
Social guarantees: issues related to compliance with labor rights, living conditions, and medical care for migrants.
Violation prevention: mechanisms for prompt interaction to resolve disputes and provide legal assistance.
Tatarstan remains a key region for labor migration, and our shared goal is to make this process transparent, safe, and legally protected for both parties.
