The final board meeting of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Volga Region State University of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, attended the event. Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered the keynote address.
The board reviewed the republic's socioeconomic development over the past year. It was noted that investment in fixed assets reached 1.65 trillion rubles, and the gross regional product amounted to 5.73 trillion rubles. Manufacturing (20%) and mining (19%) accounted for the largest contributions to Tatarstan's economy.
Special attention was paid to increasing labor productivity. As part of the federal project "Labor Productivity," part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," 351 enterprises in the republic participated in the program, and over 5,000 employees received training.
In his speech, Tatarstan's Head Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of developing and effectively utilizing industrial sites and special economic zones, which currently account for approximately 20% of the republic's industrial output, particularly in the republic's municipal districts.
