Key Events of 2025: Results of the Work of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan

We have compiled a list of key events in 2025 that marked important milestones in the work of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan:

  • An expanded meeting of the Expert Council of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan was held.
  • The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan celebrated its 25th anniversary.
  • A conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Commissioner's office was held on the topic: "Modern Trends in Human Rights Protection: Current Problems and Prospects."
  • An expanded meeting of the Coordinating Council of Human Rights Commissioners in the constituent entities of the Volga Federal District was held with the participation of Tatyana Nikolaevna Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation. She attended the 26th meeting of the Board of Directors and the 18th meeting of the General Assembly of the Asian Ombudsman Association in the People's Republic of China.
  • She attended two meetings of the All-Russian Coordinating Council of Commissioners for Human Rights in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
  • The Sovetsky District Administration of Kazan hosted the intellectual game "What? Where? When?" for students of universities in the Republic of Tatarstan studying law - a new format for legal education of the population.
  • Attended a meeting with Andrei Turchak, Head of the Altai Republic, at the Tatarstan Regional Management Center, where the Republic of Tatarstan's experience in building a system for handling citizen complaints was presented.
  • Participated in a seminar-meeting with the heads of territorial election commissions together with Ella Pamfilova, Chairperson of the Central Electoral Commission of the Russian Federation. I participated in the ceremonial departure of a military train and saw off young men from the Republic of Tatarstan departing for service in the Russian Armed Forces. I also accompanied and visited approximately 30 military units.
  • We wrote a special report dedicated to protecting the rights of homeless persons and analyzing the problems associated with the activities of "workhouses".
