Today, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan held a Legal Aid Day for inmates via videoconference.
Representatives from the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Federal Penitentiary Service's Medical Unit No. 16 participated in the consultation.
Inmates approached us with various questions:
- library collection updates,
- disability registration,
- disagreement with a court decision in a criminal case,
- education-related issues.
We thoroughly reviewed all inquiries, providing explanations and consultations within the framework of current legislation.
For many inmates, this opportunity to ask a question directly is perhaps the only chance to understand their situation. That's why we regularly hold such Legal Aid Days and strive to help everyone who approaches us.
