Work of public assistants: results of the week in the regions of the republic
This week, our public assistants' work was especially intense! Numerous meetings, consultations, and events aimed at protecting citizens' rights and promoting legal education were held in the republic's districts.
✅ In Kazan, our public assistant, Gulia Balafendieva, visited Pretrial Detention Facility No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. Together with the assistant to the head of the Department for Human Rights Observance at the Federal Penitentiary Service and representatives of the prosecutor's office, they also held a Legal Aid Day for minors at Pretrial Detention Facility No. 2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.
✅ In the Kukmorsky District, they participated in an extended meeting with heads of rural settlements and heads of organizations. A meeting was also held dedicated to preparations for the Decade of Disabled Persons, where they discussed upcoming work with social coordinators of the Fatherland Defenders Foundation and the chair of the district branch of the All-Russian Society of Disabled Persons.
✅ In the Bavlinsky District, a roundtable discussion dedicated to International Day of the Blind and a "My Rights" lesson for teenagers were held at the central library. The students participated in a tournament for young human rights defenders, and the winners received diplomas and gifts.
✅ In the Cheremshansky District, a Legal Knowledge Day was held for students in grades 8-10. The students learned about the work of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan and the issues citizens address to us.
✅ In the Agryz District, they participated in meetings of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Commission for Resolving Conflicts of Interest of Municipal Employees. In advance of the upcoming International Anti-Corruption Day, they also held meetings with teachers in preschools.
✅ In the Yelabuga District, a meeting was held with orphanage children as part of the "You Have Rights and Responsibilities!" Legal Aid Day. They also participated in a meeting of the Commission for Paying Wage Arrears and Reducing Informal Employment via videoconference.
In the Mamadyshsky District, they participated in a lecture by an international expert on economic markets, featuring Rais RT, via videoconference, and also served on the jury for a competition for Russian-speaking educators.
In Naberezhnye Chelny, they participated in a republican seminar for advisers on education and interaction with children's public organizations.
In the Aksubaevsky District, they participated in an extended meeting of the local branch of the World Congress of Tatars, dedicated to the implementation of the "Tatarstan: in its own home - with its own way of life" project. They also took part in a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tatarstan, Hero of Russia Rasim Baksikov, where employment and social support issues were discussed.
In the Alkeyevsky District, another batch of humanitarian aid was collected for participants of the SVO, as well as New Year's gifts for children in the sponsored cities of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye.
✅ In the Aktanyshsky District, we participated in an extended meeting of the Crime Prevention Commission. We also took part in a national conference on the prevention of substance abuse among minors, where our public assistant's project on leisure activities for children of SVO participants was awarded a 50,000 ruble certificate. Congratulations!
✅ In the Arsky District, we inspected a temporary detention facility together with the prosecutor's office and spoke with detainees; no complaints were received.
✅ In the Baltasinsky District, we participated in the national awards ceremony for the winners of the "School Eco-Patrol" competition.
✅ In Menzelinsk, we held a career guidance meeting with students of the M. Jalil Pedagogical College.
✅ I would also like to highlight the work on citizen receptions, which was also actively carried out in the districts of the republic this week.
In the Atninsky District, a citizen reception was held jointly with the Deputy Prosecutor and the Head of the Atninsky District Council. In the Nurlatsky and Arsky districts, receptions were held jointly with district prosecutors. And in the Pestrechinsky, Aksubaevsky, and Vysokogorsky districts, citizens were received jointly with the heads of municipalities.
