We met with students from the People's Republic of China at Kazan Federal University

19 November 2025, Wednesday

Our work with international students continues, and today we held a meeting at Kazan Federal University with students from the People's Republic of China!

As is our tradition, I told the students about the activities of our Office, the rights and responsibilities of international students in Russia, and the situations in which they can seek our assistance if their rights are violated.

We introduced the students to the traditions and values of our region, discussed public order, the particularities of life in Tatarstan, and the nuances of intercultural communication.

We also showed the students a video about a recent ceremony in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, where, together with Tatyana Moskalkova, the Commissioner for Human Rights for the Russian Federation, and Zapir Alkhasov, the Commissioner for Human Rights for the Republic of Dagestan, we laid flowers at the monument to Soviet pilots who died in the War of Resistance against Japan in the 1930s and 1940s.

I'd like to point out that the students listened very attentively, asked questions, and showed genuine interest in the topics discussed.

We look forward to continuing our work with international students! We'll continue holding such meetings to help them feel more confident.
