The Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan received a request from a Nizhnekamsk resident, Ms. N., via the ESIS GLONASS+112 system. The applicant requested consideration of installing a ramp in the entrance hall of the building where she lives with her son, a Group I disabled person. Her son uses a wheelchair, and the lack of a ramp significantly hindered their daily commute.
To protect the applicant's rights, we contacted Radmir Belyaev, head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, asking him to consider installing a ramp.
Thanks to our joint efforts, the issue was resolved: a ramp was installed on the first floor and at the entrance to the building where the family lives. The applicant and her son now have an accessible environment.
