Today I attended the awards ceremony for the "Hope. Chelyabinsk - 2025" film festival. This festival, held for the twelfth time, is the only film festival in Russia dedicated to films made in prisons.
Convicts from correctional facilities in the Chelyabinsk region performed on stage alongside professional artists. Each performance exuded genuine emotion and a desire for change!
This year, the project brought together 114 correctional facilities from 65 regions of the Russian Federation. Such a wide geographic reach demonstrates the relevance and significance of such initiatives.
Congratulations to the winners and all festival participants! I am confident that this project is of great importance, as it helps people discover their potential, rethink their life's journey, and offer the opportunity to express themselves through creativity.
