The Day of Legal Aid for Convicts was held at the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan

Helping convicts protect their rights and resolve life issues is an important part of human rights work. Today, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan held a Legal Aid Day for convicts at the Federal Penitentiary Service No. 1.

Citizens were consulted by representatives of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Employment Center of the city of Kazan, the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Pension and Social Insurance Fund for the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as a lawyer and a notary.

The convicts addressed questions on receiving incentives, removal of all previously imposed penalties, release
on parole, further socialization and adaptation after release, changing the type of punishment from forced labor to correctional labor, in connection with disability of group III. Not a single question was left without attention, everyone was given explanations.

It is very important that every person, even in places of deprivation of liberty, has support and an understanding that his rights do not go unnoticed.
