Recently, an active military serviceman, citizen A., who is undergoing rehabilitation at the treatment and rehabilitation center of the State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "City Clinical Hospital No. 7 named after M.N. Sadykov" in Kazan, contacted me with a request to assist in obtaining a new passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation to replace the lost one. The absence of the document did not allow him to receive the required payments.
This request was received during a visit to the hospital together with our guests - human rights commissioners in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation - as part of a conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan.
In order to protect the rights of the applicant, we immediately contacted the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan with a request to organize an on-site registration of documents for obtaining a passport at the medical institution where citizen A. was undergoing treatment.
Considering that the serviceman is registered in the Oryol region, the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Oryol region took part in resolving the issue. Thanks to the measures taken and our joint work, we managed to achieve a positive result and the passport was restored.
Citizen A. can now take full advantage of the required support measures.
