A seminar-meeting was held dedicated to organizing work with the families of military personnel participating in a Special Military Operation

18 July 2025, Friday

Today, together with the head of the Tatarstan branch of the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland" Guzel Udachina, we held a seminar-meeting dedicated to organizing work with the families of military personnel participating in the special military operation. The seminar was held in the format of a video conference. Deputy heads and heads of the executive committees of municipal districts, social coordinators of the foundation and my public assistants in the districts took part in the discussion.

From the first days of the start of the special military operation, both I personally and the staff of the Office were involved in all issues related to providing assistance to military personnel and their loved ones. Since 2022, we have received more than 7,700 requests from the Special Military Operation participants themselves and their family members. We reviewed each of them as soon as possible and took all possible measures to assist applicants in interaction with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Military Commissariat of the Republic, as well as the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.

Thanks to coordinated work with federal structures, we managed to return our compatriots from captivity and establish the location of servicemen.

Today, the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" is represented in each district of Tatarstan. The participants of the Special Military Operation themselves, widows, relatives of the deceased are the social coordinators of the Fund and understand how important support is.

We discussed how the current support measures work. More than 130 federal laws have already been adopted regarding assistance to participants of the Special Military Operation and their families. Information on all measures is collected on the "Gosuslugi" portal, and is also posted on the Tatarstan resource "Caring for Our Own".

We separately touched upon assistance to children left without parental care. The State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland" together with philanthropists are implementing projects within the framework of which children are helped to master the school curriculum with tutors in order to fill in the gaps in knowledge.

Following the meeting, we identified key tasks that we will consistently work on in the future. Let us continue our active joint work in this important direction, providing comprehensive support to the families of our defenders!
