The State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the Committee on Social Policy

Today, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the Committee on Social Policy. The Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Irina Volynets presented a report on the results of activities in 2024.

Over the year, the children's ombudsman received 1,880 requests, and 281 citizens were received. Most often, questions concerned the implementation of the child's right to a family, education, housing conditions and social support. The number of requests for the protection of children from violence and abuse has increased.

The meeting also discussed issues of employment of children and youth. Deputy Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalya Butaeva noted that in 2024, more than 43 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the organization of temporary employment of adolescents, in 2025 this amount will increase to 43.8 million rubles. Municipalities additionally allocated 67.6 million rubles for these purposes.

In addition, parliamentarians reviewed a bill on amendments to the republican laws on youth policy and patriotic education. The amendments are aimed at bringing republican legislation into line with federal norms.
