At the beginning of the meeting, the committee members got acquainted with the work of various departments of the Republican Clinical Hospital, such as the admission and diagnostic department, the resuscitation and advisory center, the neonatal pathology department, the neonatal intensive care department and the medical rehabilitation department of the Republican Clinical Hospital.
It was important to discuss the work of adolescent offices in the republic, which operate in 27 municipal districts and children's clinics. The Chairperson of the Committee noted that it is important not only to treat adolescents, but also to provide medical rehabilitation, especially after illnesses.
More than 118 thousand adolescents aged 15 to 17 years are registered in Tatarstan. The health of adolescents showed a decrease in morbidity by 4.2% compared to 2023, but the primary incidence of mental disorders increased by 27.1%.
In terms of dental care, 739 services were provided to children, including disabled children, at the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital in 2023. However, as noted, there is a problem with queues for dental treatment for children with disabilities.
The meeting ended with a discussion of bills concerning adoption and the protection of children from certain information. Both bills were approved and recommended for consideration by the State Council.
